What is the best way to undo cat odors in an apartment painted with flat paint?

I recently moved into an apartment that was not cleaned very well by the landlord, and the previous tenants had cats.

What is the best way to clean the walls that are covered in flat paint, short of repainting the walls? I'm sure the walls absorbed some of the cat odors because it just won't go away. Can you clean walls well that are covered in flat paint?

I can tell that the plastic venetian blinds have a filth on them, and I have a good technique for cleaning them in the bathtub and I think that will help a good deal.

Any USEFUL ideas you have would be appreciated. Thanks..!

You can't scrub it off because the odor has permeated it. You need to paint it over with Kilz brand primer which will permanently seal the odors. Sorry about the extra work. Perhaps your landlord will give you a break on the next month's rent. Good luck.

No generally you can not clean walls that have been painted with latex flat paint. I would ask the landlord if you could paint the walls over again with semi gloss white paint and be reimbursed on the rent. You could try bleach and water to clean the walls or vinegar and water and see what it does.....then you`ll have to go from there...Good Luck to you....Use warm to hot water.....when cleaning. the walls.

united statesa.Mr. sparkling magic eraser,yet first attempt to moist the poop with a sprig bottle or some thing till this is moist so this is much less stressful to return off then use the magic eraser and wipe it off and it won't mess with your paint.
