I don't think much about my intuition. Its very much a part of my choices and judgments. Its also, I guess, a part of every day of my life.

What stands out to me is this: There have been four times in my life when I did not listen to my intuition and instead listened to someone else - and every one of those four times resulted in horrible disaster (I mean BIG awful things) as a result of my not listening to my intuition. That - to me - is the thing that stands out about intuition.

I've now learned that my intuition serves me better than I had ever realized, and I will never again not listen to it.

It was quite odd, as a matter of fact. I was just putting groceries away, kinda waiting for my husband to get home from work. I got this urge to go find him, all of a sudden. He wasn't late or anything. He worked just about 8 blocks from the house and it was about the time he would be leaving the building. I jumped in the car and started driving and found him in the middle of a downtown street where he had been run over by a car. It was very odd. I just knew something was terribly wrong. The closer I got to where he worked, the sicker I became, I was sweating and feeling really bad. The police had just arrived, but no paramedics. I checked him over and he had a compound fracture of his leg. He is fine now. This was YEARS ago.

This urge was so great to go find him, I left the house in the middle of winter without a coat or my purse.

I have had similar experiences but not quite as intense as this. Needless to say, when I get an urge, I generally will follow it. I have had great intuition about people in the past and many times it has proven to be right on the money. I get red flags in my head when I am around someone who has a secret. I can just feel it. It's weird.

On several occasions bit some I remember now:

When I was 13 or 14. I was on a huge, huge, gigantic department store filled with people. I was guided, amongst the shopper's turmoil, to listen on the speaker as the announcer explained that a 7 year old girl was missing and the voice proceeded to announce the description of the clothes the girl was carrying and the way she looked. I started to walk without thinking much but "guided" and I saw the little girl crying and I asked her the name, she told me the same name I heard on the speaker and she was wearing the same clothes described earlier. So, I took her to the main office and I saw how mother and child hugged and cried in happiness of the re-encounter.

This other time my cousin lost a very expensive engagement ring and had been looking for it for two days, I walked into the place, I wondered the house for a few minutes and suddenly my eyes felt exactly on the corner where the ring was on a rare corner. I found saw her reunite with her ring.

On both occasions it's been like voices but non audible... just like a knowing, sensing, finding.

I felt something was wrong and got up in the middle of the night to check on my 18 month old son. He had rolled between the bed rail and mattress and was stuck. His face was pressed into the mattress and he was asleep so he wasn't crying. I am not sure if he would have suffocated or not, but I got him out and fixed that rail.

That is the problem with intuition...you can go with your "gut" so to speak but you usually wont know what would have happened if you hadnt gone with it...
