well, someone at my school asked his girlfriend to prom on a microphone while standing in the middle of our "greek". that is what we call the amphitheatre in the middle of our highschool. It was really sweet.

maybe give her roses or something but i would try to do something sweet but not over the top cause if you ask her to prom it's gonna have to be better then how you ask her to homecoming, i myself have never been one for the whole announcement thing, cause i am a more private person and wouldn't really want my boyfriend to ask me over the pa system but it all depends on ur girlfriend and how she is

well you can come up to her start talking about your homecoming and ask her if she wants to go or buy her some flowers let her know that u want her to come with u make her feel good and when you think she is feeling good then ask her u dont have to do it with a crowd. or u can to let her know that u are not scared to ask her out in front of everyone

This is what My boyfriend did to ask me to PROM. If this helps.. I didn't get asked to go to homecoming it just happend.
We went out to dinner and as we were at the resturaunt his buddies went to my house and set things up for him... down my walkway towards my house he put down a single red rose for each step to my house... at my doorstep was 2 dozen white roses with a simple card saying " I love you ". Walking up my stairs red rose pedals were scatered on the staircase. In my room were bundles of red and white roses with candels and on my bed he spelled out PROM ? in white pedals on a red comforter =] next to it was a small candal with a silver ring and a note saying TURN AROUND he was behind me on one knee and he said.. I would be the happiest person to have you on my arm at our senior prom. OMG I almost fainted.
Im sure this would knock her off her feet.. it did for me... and homecoming - prom same difference...lol
