If you must, you need to get the kind that is safe when it dries. And obviously...do not spray it when the baby is in the house. Wait to bring the baby home until it is complelely dry!!

Would you eat that roach spray? A newborn baby is very sensitive to smells and chemicals. It is not a good idea to have any chemicals around a new born baby especiallly in the air. The spray could cause a minor irritation and cough or a rash than you will have an irritable crying baby which is no fun.

Try boric acid run along the very back of the inside of your cabinets (where I assume your baby won't be crawling). They hate boric acid (the roaches, that is).
I noticed someone getting all yucky about roaches. There are roaches, then there are rooooaaachez. Down here in Texas, we have big, huge FLYING palm roaches along with what the rest of ya'll call "normal" roaches. The big ones are actually waterbugs and they could care less about last week's pizza you left under your bed. Then there are the little German roaches....now THOSE better stay out of my house because they only come in to eat at poor sanitation. Yuck.

You should limit your child's exposure to ALL artificial chemical compounds like housecleaning agents and chemical pesticides. Use real stuff like bicarb soda, vinegar and lemon juice to clean wherever possible - and most things can be cleaned like that. Like they say, get the child out of the house for at least two days if you have to use roach spray, and then clean all the surfaces it has been used on. Dangerous stuff. Poison, obviously.

no, its not safe.
roach sprays contain chemicals which may harm your baby's mental or physical development. keep the baby away from the sprayed area at least for an hour.

I wouldn't chance it. It can't be good for the baby to breathe in those fumes.
