I've just formatted my computer. I went to My Computer>Device Manager>and then downloaded the devices, but some of them, I'm not sure which one I should donwload. They are SM Bus Controller and USB controller. Is there anyone know?? My computer is Dell 4700. Since I formated my computer, I couldn't play the DVD. What happened??

The device manager is a list of devices that are already setup on to your computer. I do not know how you are actually downloading them. Do not be playing around with the device manager when you do not know what you are doing. It is mainly used for diagnostics to solve problems with devices that are already installed.

I would do a System Restore if you were messing with the Device Manager and you do not know what you did. You could have possibly messed up the DVD player while messing with the device manager.

Either do another format and stop messing with things you dont know anything about, or do a system resotre.

As for playing the DVD try this.

Start Menu -> My Computer -> Right click on the DVD drive -> Autoplay

Go to Dell.com and check out their support section if you don't have your Service Tag just search by model and current Operating System they usually keep good records of which drivers go to what system, just go through lists of drivers and match the names to what the Device Manager says, if that doesn't work just go through trial and error until you find the right ones and here's a tip Copy all the correct drivers to a CD so that you'll have a copy of all the right ones that got to your system.
