Without a doubt. All you hear about Iraq is about suicide bombings, and more deaths. You hear absolutely nothing about the schools being built, or the hospitals, or anything about the simple gift of liberty. Today's media has a decidely liberal and negative bent...if it will make what we're doing look worthwhile (and therefore make Bush's cause look worthwhile) they do not show it.

Sure they are!Why is a good question.I have several family members who have been there and they say that the people of Iraq are really trying hard to become a democracy. They do not want us to leave them,in the current state the country is in.And should be to the best interest of the entire world and not just the USA,that success will come.I am against war in any form, but when a country has asked us to help and is trying to help themselves I will support it.Most of the news media is reporting what they think we want to here.If enough of the people they poll would state there concerns instead of bashing our military then things would change.PEACE!!

Because there really aren't any good things we're doing over there! We invaded a country without reason (Bush never said we were there to overthrow Sadam at the beginning!) We started a civil war unnecessarily and bombed the crap out of all the infrastructure like electricity and roads. People, Americans and Iraqis, are dying without reason - and don't give me any "they're defending our freedom" BS! We can't defend our freedom if our freedom was never in jeopardy!
If we are building schools and roads, it's because we bombed them, not because they didn't exist before we got there. There is no good we are doing in Iraq, so that's why the news isn't reporting it!

Yes. The government and the soldiers \say that they are showing no good things. The news is the main reason that Bush's approval ratings are down I bet.
The news should congragdulate our troops on a job well done by putting what they did on the news.

Absolutely..yes! The press is most definitely biased..every paper, every news station, every editorial is to the far left. Fair and balanced? Hardly! Freedom of speech?..More like freedom to lie and tweak details to fit your agenda. As thinking people, we just need to listen and read a variety of reports and from there..like a jury..try to figure what is truth and what we can do to be better citizens living our own agendas!

Most people are completely unaware of all the good that we have done in Iraq. They should be, we are all paying a lot for it.

Because in the news industry they have a saying, "If it bleeds it leads".
Good news doesn't keep the ratings up.

What good things are we doing? Why was it not OK for Saddam to kill everyone, but it's fine for us to do it?
