We are doing more to hold ourselves down than the white man nowadays. We need to get educated for example. Correct English would be "Why doesn't the white man stop holding Black folks down?"The equal rights laws have given us equal accomodations in eating places. We have a chance to go to college and finish high school but about half of us don't. We get a job and refuse to save our money for a house. Instead we buy an expensive car, $500 sneakers, $100 for fake hair, $20 for fake finger nails, buy expensive pants that hang down to our crack and expect to get respect. We refuse to speak English as you have shown and curse like sailors in the streets and earn no respect. True, we still have police profiling and brutality of innocent blacks who only jay walk or shoot a boy for stealing cake from a store. But why don't we teach our youngsters that they embarrass their mommas and family when they steal. It's not a badge of manhood to go to jail but it is to take care of your children. Young children 12 to 16 are having babies ruining their chances of having a good life because if you don't finish school you will not make much money and, as it is, if you go to college sometimes you won't make as much money as a high school white person. But many of us do quite well. I make 40T a year and got a scholarship and loan to go to college. The white man does not live in our neighborhoods where we are shooting each other and raping and stabbing our women and men. They are not responsible for all the trash in front of our homes, we don't have enough self respect to go out front and clean up where we live. And some of us don't clean up inside of where we live. The white man has institutionalized racism but with education we can overcome it. Education is the key. Don't expect them to give up power. Power concedes nothing without a demand; it never has and it never will (Frederick Douglas). Join the NAACP or The Nation of Islalm and help change our condition. I wasted a lot of time in the 60s trying to educate white people. Most will never say they or their grandparents are responsible for or contribute to the racist climate we live in. And some blacks get power and mistreat you too. Look at some African countries. The leaders are living very well thank you while the masses are not. I suspect that by blaming the white man this gives many of us an excuse to do nothing with our lives because we don't feel we can achieve. When you get an education and learn how to write a sentence then come back and let me hear from you. I definitely don't expect any points on this one but I am so tired of this same old song I don't know what to do.

For one thing you sound like your white tring to immitate an non-educated African American. If that is the case, I am offended. I am a white man who is married to a beautiful black woman. We are both educated in speaking and writing. If you are black, and want to be taking seriously, act like it.
