see I don't belive that astrolgy why do people trust it so much must of the fortane tellers are fakes and so are the horoscopes.

I don't trust horoscopes, I just like to read them for entertainment.

Because the stars were there before the Tao. Astrology is not a religon, beliefe is not required, you have free choice. I'm not going to try to convince you to belive in astrology, you can feel free to continue believing--or disbelieving in whatever you like. You see, astrology is a system (communacation) a perfectly logical system that's often described as equal parts "science" and art. Whatever you call it , it works. Honest. So it's not about believing. It's about (communication) understanding. About drawing parallels between the movements of planets in our universe and condictions down here--and that's not a new concept. It's called seasons, and gardners have been working with them for years. Well, astrologers are gardners, too. They just use all the planets, and the Moon, too, when they plant seeds.
It's not like thier asking you to chant, or rub herbs on your body. And nobody's going to channel a being from another plane. Promise. We're dealing with the planets here, and planets are real. I've seen them. So have you. NASA's even got snapshots. Planets are so "real" in fact , that they follow real orbits, consistant enough to put into mathmatical tables. Planets don't need you or me to "believe" in them, and I think it's safe to say they won't disappear, even if we reclassify ( Pluto ) them. So if your looking for winning lottery numbers, or something like false security ( religon ) your in the wrong department. If, on the other hand, you want to learn a brand knew way to describe everything you already know (communicate) in a language that will fascinate, befuddle, educate, and entertain you. Thats what astrology really is. Remember beliefe is not required.

The horescope is like the weather report, not a fortune teller. It is a provided fact that most of facts reported have been tried and are true emotions and predictions which run true.

many people don't 'believe' because they have never studied it...just like you...it is noticable when people know nothing about astrology in depth simply because they say 'i dont believe'..its not something u can believe in..it's not a religion..it's a science...and it's understandible y so many people don't like it...those stupid little every-day general horoscopes that u c in newspapers and internet are too general and that's y they seem untrue...people that study astrology know what it's all about. and to be honest with u, it is hard. takes a lot of time to be perfected..and it is extremely correct as well as interesting.

most people dont see actual horoscopes, just the generalized ones in magazines and newspapers. generally those arent as accurate as a more personalized one. people who actually live their life according to the horoscopes in the newspapers/magazines are not even practicing real astrology, if they did they would know sun signs are just a small portion of astrology.
but even then, so many people believe in god & destiny or karma. whats so different then putting some faith in some planets that may even have some scientific proof later on. there is alot more to know about the universe then what we know right now. being close minded on certain theorys and that will not help society in learning mor about our universe. i challenge you to prove they are fake, learn astrology and prove to me with the facts you've learned that its fake.

Some people just don't want to take control their own lives. They want others to tell them what think and make decisions for them.
Astrology also give excuses. "I can't help it because I'm an Leo" or "I like him a lot, but I know we won't be a couple because he's a fire sign." Or as Rodney Dangerfield said about his wife "I'm a water sign, she's a earth sign. Together we make mud."
The truth is no has ever, ever, ever past any controled test for psychic power. If someone really can, (not just "believe") please with sugar on top, go to the JREF, get over a million dollars and erase any doubts. Click the link for info.

Because some people need an explination as to why things happen in their lives. Horoscopes are readily available and sometimes come close to actual things that happen.

Nobody completely believes in it. some people read the stuff for entertainment. some people read them for hopes. some people read it because it is in their religion (Hindus). we cannot completely say that astrology is bogus....some planets do influence us. but this doesn't mean that the horoscope published in books and websites will be always true for all. for an accurate reading u have to go to an astologer. still, i should say that they can't be totally trusted.

You start to trust things when they do happen
So when the information you have available is confirmed, you have to accept what is : )
If it does not happen what harm is done or maybe it didn't happen the way it was written or said but maybe it did in a similar way !
Fear is what holds people back from opening their mind, so I ask you what are you afraid of ??????

Why should you knock something you don't believe in anyway? Hey, go your way peacefully and let others go theirs ... helps build tolerance for a lot of things much worse than astrology -- never met a missionary or crusading astrologer yet!
