We will soon see they have some big games with USC and Michigan oops ! I almost threw up when I typed Michigan ! I hope they finish #2 in the BCS this year so " THE OHIO STATE BUCKEYES " can give them another a-s-s whipping like last year , GO BUCKS !

Ask Penn St. Or maybe Penn St. was overrated which means that Akron was probably underrated, which means that North Carolina St. was probably underrated...well wait a minute, couldn't Chadron St. beat Colorado then?

I personally don't think so. Even if they don't win the National Championship, I think they will have a very good season, 10-2 at least. Their defense absolutely destroyed Penn St., something that I have never ever seen the Irish D do. Michigan will be a tougher test for them, but I think Notre Dame is more talented and has better coaching. Nonetheless, it is college football and crazy things happen. I think it'll be another classic battle in the rivalry.I think that when we look back on this question in a few months, Notre Dame will still be in Championship contention, but that's just me.

P.S.: People who keep bringing up the Fiesta Bowl, that was last year, get over it. If we're going by last year's logic, than Texas is still a better team that Ohio St. Forget the past and move on to the current season.

I do not think that any university football team should be rated until half way in the season! They all have room the grow and will have off weeks. Notre Dame IS the team everyone guns for, you all know that, but the reason for that is varied and many. South Bend IS NOT a "college town" and Notre Dame DOES NOT influence our city as much as they would like the country to think. This game coming up with Michigan has many loyalities split since we are right on the boarder with Michigan. I wish Notre Dame luck, but I am holding back an opinion until I see them face a few more teams. However, they keep improving each week, they WILL give USC fits!

No. They have a real chance at the national championship. USC stands in their way. I don't really believe anyone else on their schedule can beat them this year. They have the best QB and the best coach in the country, so how are they overrated? USC and Ohio State could beat this team, but ND only plays USC in the regular season. I think the winner of that game may be playing Ohio State in the championship game in January.

It is hard to say, but they did play a good game against Penn St. Penn St. is not a bad team. Now, the real test will come against Michigan this Saturday and then USC at the end of the schedule. If they can beat these two team then they will be doing well and should have a BCS bid.

Yes they are. They'll beat Michigan this weekend, but then they'll get stomped by Ohio State in a bowl game.

They didn't appear to be against Penn ST. But lets see if they can repeat that performance against Michigan.
