Tonight I just heard that nuclear stuff was smuggled into the USA from Mexico by one or more of the Al Quaida terrorists and that the FBI were hard on looking for them. Why has this not been on the news? My husband says he heard it on the Michael Savage show. Instead of the media advertising just how insure Canada and USA are (borders, ports, transportations and so on) not just to the North American people but do they not realise that the damn terrorists are listening and watching the news too? I am so furious because something like this is what should be on the news and letting the people know that maybe we should as citizens start taking precautions. If our malls or ports or highways and so on are not yet safe from attacks maybe they should take care of it and feed our ears with news that should be mentioned. Any input?

maybe, jmdavis33, you are the one that is stupid. My wife heard this news and like a normal person, she simply asked a question. For you to respond in such a rude and obviously ignorant manner only leads me to believe that you think yourself to have a superior intellect than everyone else. This only proves your intelligence....which by the way is down there on the same level as an uninformed, closed minded fool. My wife is not stupid, and is more than likely much more informed than you possibly could ever hope to be. Go take your "stupid" answers elsewhere and allow those that know how to interact with others properly and with respect. We don't care to hear from idiots like you. Oh and btw, if you care, go take a look at the savage website, and look on the righthand side more than half way down the page. If you can't find it, just click on this link. Hopefully someday you will learn to enteract better.

Ok... I'll go with this....
So do you know if this story is even true?
If it is true do you know where the terrorist are taking the material?
Do you know when they are planning on setting the "nuclear stuff" off?
How about wether or not they even have the knowledge of turning the "nuclear stuff" into a bomb?

I love how on Savage's website it says nothing about this so called "nuclear stuff", but right there dead center is an add to buy some of his shirts and hats. Wow, wonder if he's just trying to stir up emotions close to 9/11 so he can sell more t-shirts?

It's people like you that are letting the terrorist win. The whole goal of terrorist is..... drum roll please.... to make you scared, hense the "terror" in terrorist.
If this story is true then what would the government do? Put the whole US on alert? Where would they evacuate people too?
And yes you are right it would alert the terrorists that the FBI was on there trail and they would speed up there operation so the FBI couldn't stop them!
Perhaps the reason you haven't seen it on the news is cause it isn't true.
Perhaps you should come out of your shell and enter the real world.
Perhaps you should stop taking your news from a washed up has been that never was.
Perhaps you should go back to school and gain some knowledge before you try talking about political and worldly issues.
Or Perhaps you need to think before you ask stupid questions!

OK, here is what we know. The bombs are believed to be 10 kiloton, equivalent to Hiroshima. Nobody knows where they are. Likely targets are New York, Los Angeles, Houston, Miami, Washington D.C., Orlando, Boston, and other large cities, not necessarily in that order. The only precaution you can take is not be in any of those cities. However, evacuation simply moves the target which is now even more heavily populated and so on. Politics play a huge role in this not being news. If it makes the mainstream media, then those who are attempting to oust Bush will not succeed, because they will be admitting there is a problem. On the other hand, if it stays out of the media, then Bush didn't warn anybody and is at fault for the deaths of hundreds of thousands if not millions. This is of course assuming the weapons are actually here and we don't have faulty intelligence.

Actions like those stated here are thwarted all the time. You don't hear about them for a number of reasons. Releasing information about them could put other investigations in jeapordy. There is very little that an american citizen can do to protect themselves from a WMD attack. Pay attention to the news for threat warnings, if they're published, but they usually won't be. Publishing a threat warning for a specific area lets the terrorists know we're onto them. There are 2 basic aims of an investigation. Prevent the attack and apprehend and prosecute the attackers. If they know you're onto them they will either modify their plans and move the attack up before you can stop them, or they'll dissapear.

It can be hard to swallow, but knowing about terrorist threats beforehand is usually not in our best interests.

Yep, heard that on Savage myself.

He usually brings out info like this several days ahead of everybody else. The Dubai Ports issue is just one example.

I hope his sources are bogus on this one. If a dirty bomb goes off, the Left will blame Bush; the moderates and Right will yell at the Libs to "get with the program," and there will be a lot of dead innocent citizens who won't be participating in stupid partisan bickering anymore.

It doesn't surprise me.

I heard a US-based expert talk about the Calif/Mexico border on a national Canadian afternoon talk show today, saying that Americans have nothing to fear about the Mexicans crossing the border, because they are hardworking, peaceful people.

He seemed to be forgetting that Al Queda listens to the news too and must know the Mexican border is porous, if non-existant.

I am beginning to wonder if that Alex Jones is really such a nut after all.

Maybe "they" should have fixed the border after other news shows smuggled their own nuclear stuff (depleated uranium) across the border, trying to get something done by exposing problems. Why blame other news for mentioning the problem rather than the government for not fixing it? Also, why no terrorist Red/Orange alert, or are you saying only the Michael Savage show is announcing it?

2 reasons: a million. Iran is strongly anti-israel. there's a extreme worry that if Iran develops nuclear weapons, then it relatively is going to bring about a nuclear war contained in the middle east. of course it relatively is no longer a sturdy ingredient. 2. international locations with nuclear weapons do no longer worry nuclear weapons. If Iran develops nuclear weapons, then it relatively is going to no longer have any reason to be threatened via the U. S.. This lessens the u . s .'s entire impression on the worldwide and that they do no longer choose that.

Maybe the network news hasn't mentioned it because there isn't any credible information to be reported.

Take precautions how? If it detonates nearby you're toast! The best precaution is to make sure you're right with God!
