Freddie Flintoff. He has beaten teams like Australia basically off his own bat (and ball). Also an excellent slips fielder.
He's a matchwinner unlike his closest counterparts Kallis and Pollock or whoever else amongst the current crop.
As for history it's hard to go past Sobers, who mastered all parts of the game, which is the ultimate definition of all-rounder.

Obviously Andrew Flintoff of England and he has shown his credential in last ashes series that how influential his performances are in deciding the fate of the match or series whatever.In my opinion best ever all-rounder was Kapildev.

Mr. I.T. Botham has been the best alrounder. His following performance is a testimony for that:
1)Scored 103 Runs and took 5 wickets for 73 runs against
New Zeland in Christchurch in 1977/78 series,
2) Scored 108 runs and took 8 wickets for 34 runs against
Pakistan at Lords in 1978 series
3) Scored 114 runs and took 7 wickets for 48 runs against
India in Mumbai in 1979/80 series
4) Scored 149 runs not out and took 6 wickets for 95 runs
against Australia in Leeds in 1981
5) Scored 138 runs and took 5 wickets for 39 runs against
New Zeland in Wellington in 1983/84
Among the present lot J.H. Kallis of South Africa is the best
allrounder. The following analysis is a testimony for the same:
1) Scored 110 runs and took 5 wickets for 90 runs against
West Indies in Cape Town in 98/99 series.
2) Scored 139 runs and tok 5 wickets for 21 runs against
Bngladesh in Potchefstroom in 2002/2003 series
