The four Crusades in the Holy Land.

The Moores invading Italy and Spain.

Non-stop hostility in the Balkans.

Not to mention the ongoing fight against the Byzantine Empire, from the foundation of Islam, culminating in the conquest of Byzantium by the Turks in 1453.

A longer and historically more significant fight than any Crusade.

Besides the Crusades, which began in 1095, the Moors had conquered southern Spain since around 750AD
