Specifically, I'm looking for mutual funds that are geared towards sports. I heard somewhere that there was a fund which revolved around stock car racing - I am looking for any others. Many thanks to all who respond.

I am not aware of such a fund; however, there seems to be new ETFs every week...and it is as likely to be a niche that an ETF would cover.
For a mutual fund...VICEX concentrates on "vice"....alcohol, tobacco, gambling, war/firearms, and paper products [think toilet paper]
For ETFs....search for "ishares" and "powershares"...if there is such an ETF,it is likely one of these two would have it.
