Okay first off, I would say the best quarterback would be John Elway just for the simple fact that he played with more heart than any other quarterback....even without the rings I would still say that. and the other thing if one more person says Marino didn't have a team your sadly mistaken....I guess he threw to himself for all those touchdowns and yards...Hell I guess he was the whole offense no one even blocked for him...Get real Miami had a great O-Line which is why Marino had all those completions and there will never be a great qb without great or decent receivers in the backfield it's freakin impossible so get your facts right Marino had excellent if not the best at the time receivers Good Night

Dan Marino did his job the best. Joe Montana was by far more likeable as far as fans relations are concerned.

I have to pick Montana...had the best instinctive sense for the game I've ever seen...Marino had perhaps the best arm ever, but I'd have to drop him a few steps...Elway, Bart Starr, Brett Favre, and what about Johnny Unitas? I have to rate all of them above Marino (and the ring has nothing to do with it)...

Dan Marino Compare the stats!!! No rings, that is the team. Again, check the stats DAN MARINO! Oh, and what about the old quarterback challenges? He did stuff no one ever did!

My favorite to watch was Joe Montana - always an exciting game right to the last second.

Dan Marino was the best quarterback I ever watched, too bad he played for the stinking Dolphish!!!!! If he had played for a real team like the Giants, he would have won a superbowl or two, or three,......

John Elway. More Super Bowl starts than any other QB (3 of which he carried the team on his back to the game), more wins as a starter than any other QB, more 4th quarter comebacks than any other QB (talk about clutch), third all-time in passing yards, third all-time in completions, 50,000+ career passing yards and 3,000+ career rushing yards – NFL Record, 7 consecutive seasons with 3000+ passing yards and 200+ rushing yards – NFL Record, League MVP in 1987, 9 Pro Bowl Selections, Super Bowl XXXIII MVP, and of course - Back to Back Super Bowl Championships.
