I know interest in the two is kind of creepy. lol

I have lots of experience working with children. I've practically raised my niece. I've babysat since I was 12. (I'm 21 now)

Everytime I pass a daycare there are always "help wanted/now hiring" type signs on their doors/signs. But I'm not sure if they'd hire me with only having a high school diploma.

No idea about the funeral home, but you don't need any kind of formal education to work in a daycare, depending on what position you want. Usually daycares need a certain ratio of certified staff, then the rest are just Child Care Assistants...you need to apply to be certified as one, and they will do a background check on you, and that's basically it. However you probably won't get paid very much more than minimum wage.

In order to be a funeral director you need a mortuary science degree. Pittsburgh Institute of Mortuary Science offers a wonderful online program. Of course, I am biased because that's where I went to mortuary school! : )
Unfortunately, I don't know about daycare, but good luck with whatever you decide! Take care!

Yes I'm sure that you do. At a daycare you have to know alot about children and take some classes in case they are chocking and what not. But I have not clue about a funeral home.

It depends on what state you're in. However, in most states you are required to have a certificate in child development or early childhood education. Ask at a child care center near you. Sometimes you are only required to have a certain number of units or courses.
I am certain you need some sort of certification to work in a funeral home.

Well, you could stop in and see. Or you can go to your local community college and work on getting a degree in early childhood education.
