Does anyone know any sites where I can get monologues from a play (any one) for an audition?

Except for Shakespeare and perhaps ancient Greek plays, copyright laws will make it difficult for you to find scripts on the web. Best bet -- go to the library. Even better -- visit the library at your local college or university.

...how did you get an audition in the first place without knowing something so basic about preparing for one?

There are tons of books devoted completly to the Shakespearean monolouges. If you can't find any of those all the plays are online searchable (literaturenetwork) and you can probably find them yourself
