Tyranny can happen if all people aren't vigilent to what is happening with their government. You are right in that the first thing that has to hapopen is to disarm the populace..

Absolutely False. In fact you could say the worst kind of Tyranny imaginable is now prevalent here in the United States.

It's the kind of Tyranny that you never know is coming until it's too late.

When you have a government that thinks of Eminent Domain as a great way to make some extra cash. And that needing probable cause or a search warrant to search someone's home or vehicle is just "silly", then you are seeing the beginnings of a Tyrannical Government take shape.

When the Presidient of the United States of America admits to illegally wiretapping it's own citizens using technology developed by the N.S.A. to spy on FOREIGN governments. You are seeing the beginnings of a Tyrannical Government take shape.

Next you'll see term limits abolished under the guise of "National Security"... Oh wait, President Bush has already tried that via attempting to pass legislation that would allow him to stay in office indefinitely as long as there is a threat of terrorism to the country.

IE: Bush wants to be a Dictator, but the American people just continue to seem not to care.
