in America are steadily falling behind other countries as far as education is concerned, do you think yahoo needs to remove the "homework help" section from yahoo answers? On here the kids are just given the answer without ever having to learn.

good one!

I think parents need to ask their children everyday to see their homework to make sure it's done.
It was hard for my parents in the 80's cause they both dropped out to get married but got GED"S and alot of stuff they couldnt help me with cause it was more advanced then it was in the 60's.

I remember once my grade fell from a B to a C my parents made me bring everybook in my locker home for a month and I had to read 2 chapters a night and at the kitchen table until my grade went up. I knew my parents cared.

I think alot of kids think they dont have to do the work and a job is going to fall into their laps and hell I didnt have the internet to give me all the answers, lol we had to use the library and the dewey decimal system

The homework help section does bother me. I generally don't help unless the person has made a decent crack at the question (which is rare). Most people seem to demand the answer with all the steps. Pretty sad.

well, it sometimes helps but I usually do my own homework without the help of others. Only when something troubles me I go to my friends or my brother. I think that people should find the answers themselves first without the help of others and if something is hard for them then they can ask other people's help

Yeah the kids from the USA don't have as many worries. Nay let them have homework help. Gives me something to do in the afternoons.

They could find out answers much easier and more reliable from many other places on the internet! I don't think this would be the best place to look! A lot of idiots answer these questions, (myself included! lol)

They beat the childern in other countries, and US childern watch more tv than any other country. I think they shouldn't be allowed to ask how to do their hw problem, unless they have at least tried it first and posted it on their question.
