1. Fortunato didn't know as much as he claimed to know about art and fine gems.

2. I met him during carnival season.

3. Saying this, Fortuanto took my arm. Put on a mask of black silk and drawing a black cloak around myself, I allowed him to hurry me to the palazzo.

4. In an instant, he had reached the farthest point of the space, and realizing that the rock blocked him from going any further, he stood there looking confused.

5. I listened for a reply to my words, but none came.

It would have helped if you had typed the original text in correctly - it is hard enough to interpret these passages without having to decipher your typos.

The Cask of Amontillado is a short-story, not a poem.

1. Fortunato is a fake.

2. IT'S DUSK! NOT DUCK! I met Fortunato during Carnival, right after sunset.

3. We went to my crib, with Fortunato hanging on me. I went with him in disguise.

4. He didn't know what to make of the long narrow room, stopping when he got to the back wall.

4. I ignored his bricked-up azz. Let him rot.
