There are laws against owning "exotic" pets, monkeys are usually considered exotic.

In cases where monkeys are used to assist paralysis victims, fetching items, feeding them, etc. it is legal.

Wouldn't necessarily have to have a monkey to pick fruits for you, our german shepherd liked to pick fruit off our plum tree. So you could probably teach a small dog to climb up knock them off the tree for you to catch.

It's against monkey labor laws. You have to have a special permit for fruit picking monkeys and the work is seasonal.

If the trees are yours, I say it's legal. If the trees don't belong to you, grab some glue and have the monkey stick the fruit back on the trees.

This summer season in Croatia :) Me and a chum went and rented an condominium, correct next to us there develop right into a house with a Kiwi plant. One evening, when we again from partying, we took a Kiwi :D (we were allowed to take them, the proprietors informed us shall we take if we wanted). in spite of the undeniable fact that it wasn't very eatable :)
