Is there anything you are good at that not a lot of your friends can do? When I was student teaching, I had a student do origami and teach the class how to do it. That was fun and you can buy kits at a Borders or Barnes and Noble.
Or you could make a food, like PB & J or maybe a specialty dish.

I did a demonstration speech and taught everyone how to make a chocolate cake. It was one of those betty crocker out of the box cakes. You make the batter there, it will be thrown away, then have a pre-made cake and can of frosting. You frost the pre-made cake there and talk your way through it and everyone thinks your speach was wonderful because they got a yummy snack. :)
