Pretend you're having a seizure. Lol, actually, really, dancing just comes naturally to some. If it doesn't to you, just have a good time anyways! Watch what other people are doing...and mimic with your own swing on things. Good luck!

1. Find a club that you like. Different clubs have different dancing. Find the one that really gets you in the mood to join the crowd. There are different ones - hip-hop, Latin, techno and so on. They all play the mix of music, but there is always a trend.

2. If you haven't figured out how to dance like that, watch what people do to the beat. Try to do the same, maybe moving a little less at first, so that you don't feel like a fool. Try it at home in front of the mirror. If id doesn't look totally stupid - you got it. Your dancing will improve and get rich with time and practice.

3. If that fails, try taking a couple of classes in any dance style. You'll get the idea how to move your body to music. Some people have very disobeying bodies and they need classes to learn, i.e. their eyes and ears have not learned to communicate the information "dance like that" to their muscles. Classes help to overcome it.

The first step is to go to the bar. Then you get some liquid courage in you. After that look at what everybody else is doing. It's best if you go with a friend. Ask em to dance, and have fun.
That's it.

You could be dancing like Elaine from Seinfeld and nobody would say anything to you. Its not like your auditioning for "Dancing with the stars", or competing in a breakdancing competition.

Most people go to club to chill and meet new people. Guys are thinking about getting some a**, and girls are worried about how they look. Nobody cares if your making a fool of yourself on the dancefloor. You might get a few shuckles but thats it.

There are different types of clubs and they play different types of music. With different types of music come different types of dance. Whatever types of dance are popular, you can learn it, and you can learn it in a dance studio, dance studios are the commercial answer to fulfill your desire to learn how to dance in clubs.

But they aren't your only answer.

You can also take a class from your local college or university. I presume you're old enough to get into clubs, so you should be eligible for college classes, too. Dance classes are typically very inexpensive, one credit classes. My local community college offers two 80 minute sessions a week for sixteen weeks and my local university offers two 50 minute sessions a week for sixteen weeks for US $56.50 and $157.00 respectively. Yes, the university offers less time for lots more money. There's no guarantee that the quality of instruction is better at the university, either. I happen to live a lot closer to the university.

Both the community college and the university have Latin Nightclub Dance classes as well, which focus on other dances, and may be of interest.

Or maybe you're interested in hip hop classes. I'm not, but my university has hip hop. I don't know if my local community college does or not. We have Argentine Tango too.

Let me know if you have Ballet Dance clubs where you live, because until I hear of that, I won't be mentioning ballet classes...oops I just did... that's what I'm taking on campus now.

I'm also a student of dance at the public library, senior centers, parks and recreation centers, and cultural centers. Look around for resources!

have fun!

First you go into the club wearing a mini skirt and a tube top. Then you try to make eye contact with a guy that you would want to take you home at the end of the night. When he notices you, you make sure that your alone and you do little dance so he could come up from behind you and start grinding. Before you know it you'll know how to dance and you'll have the whole club watching you like a star.

Study long, study wrong.

Just go to a club or studio in the same interest of your musical taste and watch. Or pay for someone to teach you. Then in your own time practice and confer with good friends or dancers.

Go watch a dance tape Napolean Dynamite.

First is you find the manager and tell him you would like to get a job being a dancer, then he'll audition you and see if you got the moves or not.
