I got pizza delivery, and I didn't tip the driver. The driver gave me a dirty look, and went to his car. I called the store to complain about him.

Yes you were...ALWAYS tip because they will write down your address as a NO TIPPER and the next time you get your pizza delivered .....I WOULD NOT EAT IT....lets put it that way!! Always tip for the service and convenience of it being brought to your home. GAS is NOT free!!! Shame on you!!!!!

I am not half as worried about you not tipping the delivery guy as I am that you called the store to complain about "a dirty look?" How do you know it was not GAS or something. Are you really feeling that guilty for not tipping? Are you sure it was HIM giving you a dirty look, or did you just SEE what you needed to see because of guilt?

Are you always this hard on people just for how you think they look? More to this than not tipping and more to this than a dirty look too.

We can't make a determination without knowing WHY you didn't tip him.

It is traditional to tip a pizza delivery person. Was he rude to you BEFORE he knew there wasn't a tip coming? If so, then you were right to not tip him. If he was really late then you could have given him a minimal tip. When giving a small tip (or none at all), you should explain WHY the tip was smaller than expected. He needs to know or the bad behavior will continue.

If you didn't tip him just to be mean then you were wrong. If you didn't have enough money for a tip then you should have scrounged something from the sofa or the car... You should have known he'd be disappointed.

I wouldn't have reported him. Not tipping was punishment enough.

If you are serious with this question, you need help. If you can't afford a tip then get up, get dressed, and go get it yourself. This is the service your tip pays for. Don't ever order from this place again as the driver may just j-o on your order. And - they will most likely pass your name and number to all the places you may call. They work hard for this money and when you stiff them and complain too, you better not be orderin out. Sorry

Was the only reason for your complaint the "dirty look"? If so, I think you were wrong. On the other hand, if you didn't tip the driver because the service was poor, and that is why you called to complain, that may have been justified.

You were very wrong. Pizza drivers get paid squat, they rely on tips to supplement their income. I suggest the next time or even before the next delivery you send him a fair tip (that may keep them from spitting in the pizza while it's in the car).

Most pizza drivers use their own vehicles and gas and don't make much eieither way . so you should take that into consideration the next time you order delivery . a tip is not that much. you should be glad there is pizza deliveries.

Pizza drivers get paid usually minimum wage. A tip for them is just like at a restaurant. If they got your pizza there on time and still hot, they deserve a tip.

I won't say you were "wrong" if you were financially strapped. You need to realize the delivery person uses his own vehicle, gas, etc to deliver you delicious pizza. He go paid $0 for delivering your order. Most delivery persons only survive on tips (independent contractors). The do not even get benefits such as healthcare and dental.

well, u see, the world is a cruel place, and pizza guys don't get paid a lot. it's ur money, and ur choice to tip, so don't blame it all on urself. it was rude of the guy to give u a dirty look. i mean, he can't just always think he deserves the money from everybody. if somebody does sumthing extra for u, then u tip.
