Fans. One for you power supply and one on your CPU. Not a lot you can do. But have a look and see if there is a lot of dust in there - then it a case of vacuuming the case out with a vacuum cleaner. If it gets worse and the thing starts rebooting itself. The CPU fan is either had it or not keeping the CPU cool. Then take the fan/heatsink off and put some heat conductive paste on the CPU and put the heatsink and fan back on having cleaned them up. Some fans benefit from a tiny drop of oil - on the bearings.

Desktop PCs have multiple fans that can be the cause of the noise. A competent repair shop should be able to replace any noisy fan for minimal cost.

The most common source of noise on a desktop PC is from the cooling fan. It may be going bad but most likely there is a piece of 'fuzz' or paper on the fan blades. You can look throught the opening from the outside but it is better to remove the cover and inspect it from the interior. Clean very carefully not moving any wires etc.
If it is not the fan making the noise, you may be able to better pin point it with the cover removed.

You have 2 or more cooling fans that are cheap from the factory. The bearings get dirty and noisy. Try blowing dust off with a can of air and see if it helps.

well i have a few ideas on what can be making your computer noisy. fist of all ive noticed with my computer my processor fan tends to make a good majority of the noise. but it may also be a harddrive going bad. some computers have extra fans to help circulate the air, though they do help they add allot of noise. i hope this aswered your question

old hard drives can be noisy. get a new one and get some new fans, most are pretty quiet these days.

It's either the Power Supply fan is dirty or the Hard drive is cheap and makes excessive noise

Get a can of "Canned Air", pressurized air in a can. Blow the dust off all the fans in the computer. If that doesn't quiet it down, try this voltage fix:
