From what very little bit I know of global warming, which I admit is not a whole lot, I don't think the two concepts are mutually exclusive. I thought global warming was the overall (key word, overall) increase of the entire average temperature of the world by like one degree a year or something. You can surely have record cold winters and still have that happen -- especially after the record highs we set this summer. It's all going to get averaged in. You see what I mean?

Hey! There was a picture in the Valley News (a Vermont rag) of a "Global Warming" protest rally. Two people were holding up a "Stop Global Warming" sign. The funny part was that one of them was wearing a winter hat!!!!!!
