Explain why it would be difficult to use a meter stick that measures down to the nearest mm to measure the distance from Chicago to New York City? How accutre could your measuerment be? How many signifticant figures could you get (approximately)?

lets assume that new york to chicago is 1000 miles which means its around 1610 km.. so you would need to flip the meter stick 1610000 times minus one.. thats lots of fliping.

say you could do this where does the city start and end.. at the border or the middle... the sig figs would be 11 although the measurement would be the distance over ground up and down hills...
