Slang is the most obvious word. Vernacular is also a word that means what you're trying to say. Vernacular refers to the language used by a specific group- so it could be people in the US in a certain era, or it could be technological words used on the job, or lots of other applications. Idiomatic speech also applies- slang itself is idiomatic.
