The difference is that cigarettes are more toxic because they are inhaled, causing a greater chance of cancer in the esophagus and lungs..

I view drugs as worse as people can suffer serious side effects, like weight loss, hallucinations, schizophrenia, psychosis, anxiety, panic attacks, acne, physical problems.. & a hell of a lot more mental problems.. Where as a dodgy ecstasy tablet that has crushed glass ans bleach and etc in it, can rupture your stomach lining, Strong drugs like heroin can make you have a cardiac arrest

Ciggarettes have a higher chance of giving you cancer,
The truth is, the goverment does profit from the sales of ciggarettes they are a multi billion dollar industry,

The only people that profit from drugs are the dealers
but Drugs can screw your life up and your brain forever

The only difference between most street drugs and cigarettes is that cigarettes are functional. But if you want to compare deaths more people die from smoking cigarettes than all the drugs combined.

Depending on your age is the answer to the question. In the 60's and 70's it was cool to smoke. Now that the effects are known, many try to quit and fail. Those people think of drugs as illegal substances, not items you purchase in a store (IE Cigs, Beer, Wine). I know, I'm one.

It is no different . If they took cigarettes away -they would soon do what drug addicts do to get a fix . Anything they could . One hooks you quick . The other takes a little longer . Both cause irreparable harm .

Drugs covers allot of ground. Heroin isn't the same as marijuana. Cigarettes are extremely addictive and very harmful.
It is hypocritical to have cigarettes legal, but not pot.

Ciggys don't make people sell themselves for $5, or make people rob someone.
They also don't lead to self destructive behavior.
They also don't give you AIDS, which injecting drugs does.
So yes, big differance.
