I don't think conservative or liberal actually describes the motivation behind our foreign policy. I hate to be cynical, but I think "greed" is the primary motivator behind most foreign policies.

If fighting a war to win it is conservative then GOP is conservative. If liberal is cut and run then the GOP is not liberal.

there is no longer such a thing as a liberal republican.. the religious right chased us all away in the 80s
