how can i make MORE storage room for my stuff in my Pesao? (moving across the USA).?

I'm selling most of my things because I have to move to Utah to take care of my sister... (she was in an accident...) but, I still have some things to take w/ me, (keepsakes...) The problem is, I have a tiny little Pesao. Any ideas about making more room? And how much extra weight is safe to carry since the car already has just over 200,000 miles on it. Also, how long (miles) do these little cars usually last? THANK YOU!!! I appreciate your help and ideas!!!
