Why are black men leaving pre-made families for white women?

Question

I never had a problem with race until recently. And I would dare say that it is not a race issue but a problem with black men in general. I would love for an intelligent black man who knows what he is talking about to respond to this. Is it a trend? What do "they" provide that "we" don't? Is it "you"?
I am open to all cultures answering, but I challenge a black man to answer this openly and honestly without a snide remark.

To the answerer who said that "not every black man has...." Well.. Duh! It is a general question and I am not into playing semantics. But thank you for your input nonetheless.

whats up BB. at first i wasnt gonna answer this question due to the fact that it upsets me to hear about a what supposed to be a man leaving his family but after reading some of the answer i see that you are not the only one in the dark. if i can give you advice. dont worry about it. whatever man is weak enough to turn his back on his family whether its for a white chick or another black chick he is a loser and messing up my chances in meeting a wonderful woman. to many black women get hung up on what the last guy did they dont give the new guy a chance. white women is the least of our problems. we have fools killing each other, having 3 baby mommas, and not to mention the worst of them all the ones that having sex with other men. ill! you can hear 100 answers to your question but that still wont change the smell of sh it. stay positive and stay focused on yourself and if you have kids your kids and when a real man comes along focus on that. those other suckas are a lost cause. peace

I think black men are failing black women on many levels. Education, responsibility, culture, etc. They say men think with their gonads. Its somewhat true, but its even worse in black guys. They think they are all god's gift to women.

White women have always been and will probably continue to be a status symbol to the black man. We used to laugh because they would always hook up with ugly white women. Now, I've noticed that they are starting to get cuties now. You can thank MTV and rap culture that promotes 2 things, black guys are cool and women are for booty. Young white girls believe it to be true because they don't know any better. Besides, it really pisses dad off.

I've noticed a trend that intelligent black women are starting to date white guys more and more. And why not, most of us were brought up to treat women better.A much higher percentage had a mother and father and it truly makes a difference.

I know these sound like stereotypes. However, stereotypes are founded in truth. They may not be true for all, but it has to be based on something.

I'm glad you asked this question. it seems like most black women would be offended to see a black guy with a white women. maybe it is a trend. I don't like seeing this where I live because the overall appearance of the guy isn't impressive at all especially the clothes. I almost never see a professionally dressed black man with a white woman.

People like you would like to "rationalize" that racist idea to preserve your own sanity. But sorry little boy, that's just not true! Do you really think that a black man on the rise is going for white trash as a status symbol? Oh no, little insecure one, he wants only class(Black or white). When I was in the corporate world many of these fine white chicks were on my case but I was equally selective as I was with the fine upscale black women. So handle it! America is moving on!

"Makes me wanna holler" is by Nathan McCall and is an extremely eye opening book. Even as Black woman I was shocked baout some of the things he went through. But the book is also incredibly angering because of the life McCall led (but eventually came out of). Honestly, it made me wanna holler too. But check it out.

(Latin guy) I think its because of the racism in the western world, we live in a world where it is "better" to be caucasian than of color. Its the eurocentrism that dominates the world, its the same thing in latin america, where being of european origin or at least having a white girlfriend is the highest accomplishment(for a non-white). Read "Makes me wanna holler" I forget the authors name, but its a raw, honest naked confession of the feelings and frustrations that black men feel. In this book the author talks about many things including how a white girlfriend is something that many black men want. I didnt read the book, my brother did, but he told me it really opened his eyes to the struggles of black men in the USA. But I do wanna say, are you specifically interested in only dating a black guys? if you are kinda closed off to dating another ethnic group, well, you are suffering from the same discriminatory mentality as the black men,

whilst I am NOT a black man I am a white lady married to a black man, he did have a black wife previously and did not leave her for me.....anyways the part of your question I wanted to reply to is that in my husbands opinion I am the 1st woman black white of sky blue green that is willing to work with him and not against him, walk alongside him and not drag him down with debt out the ying yang.....................oh and the one thing he does not miss is the drama and he loves to come home to a clean house.......

Now I know that his experience of black females is not the norm I think he just met some crazy ones along the way, i give him what he needs which is peace security and work along side him for OUR future with little to no drama.....oh and I was the only and only white female he had ever dated and we as a team took FIVE years to pay off his last wife's DEBTS and take court action to stop her from STILL taking out more credit in his name, so IF I took my whole view of black females based on her it would not be very high would it..luckily I dont and do what I would love others to do and that is get to know a person and then judge one way or another......like or dis like me NOT hate just because I am a white lady married to a black man [which I know you are not meaning of course, like you I am just generalizing]

Just out of curiosity...what is a pre-made family? Has EVERY black man you know left his family for a white woman...be careful....cause I am sure not EVERY single one of them has. It is a shame that our divorce rate in America is as high as it is...but when people add to the prob by implying that ALL black men leave only for white woman.,..its kinda sad.

i just think that they dont want premade family and they do look to the exotic, to them, and white or oriental or even hispanic women are it, and lots of white guys think only black women are sexy, so im sure you arent losing, these days the races are melding, and i think thats a good thing, blurring the lines. but for you, i truly hope you find whatever it is you want for yourself in this world, good luck

Hmm. . . where to start. I wouldn't want a man that would walk off and leave his family, if he'd do it to you he'd do it to me. Secondly, I wouldn't want a man to love me just for my skin color, beautiful though it is. Maybe just maybe it's not because of them being white, maybe it's because she has a great sense of humor, a bangin' sense of style, can cook her *** off and still beat him at the video game, works a 9 to 5 and goes to school at night, she loves to give foot rubs and run him a bath, doesn't mind letting him push her ride, maybe she has a nice ***, maybe he thinks red hair is hot, maybe it's any one of those things and nothing at all to do with the color of her skin, did you think of that?
