I'm going to a formal Sweet 16 and I don't know what shoes to wear. (I'm wearing a gray skirt, with a mauve and white top). My choices for shoes are either black pumps or white open-toed shoes. Is it taboo to wear white shoes after Labor Day??

I would definatly go with the black pumps. No, it`s not taboo to wear white shoes after Labor Day, I just think black sounds more formal and sexy, not to mention sweet-sixteenish. Have fun!

Taboo? No. Poor choice? Yes. White shoes make your feet look bigger!! Is there any way you could get black open toed shoes or black open toed sling backs??
