Nothing, I think clogs are out dated and ugly.

Because clogs tend to be quite big and loose, they can only really be worn with wide leg pants or flares (but flares are so out of fashion right now) or a flowy skirt, and possibly shorts if they are the right ones. They look ridiculous with anything tight fitting such as skinny jeans or pencil skirts. You have to keep the look loose and kind of boho/hippie.

I wear backless shoes with any long pants. I wear them at home because I can slip them on & off easily (no shoes in the house policy at home). And I wear dressier ones at work as I stand all day & cant tolerate shoes with backs as feet expand over a 12 hour workday. Clarks rule! And to the woman who said theyre out of style...I believe that depends on where you live. They are very commonly worn where I live.
