For example you have 14.82 ml you want to change it to L you need to move over 3 spaces. 14.82 ml=.01482 ml The opposite if it is moved to the left. Ex. 1km=1000m

from mL to L, you multiply by 0.001
and vice versa is 1000.

so then it would be 0.01482
