I am definitely with you on this one. And what's especially aggravating is that if you turn around to look at them they act as if they are not doing anything wrong. There are so many ignorant people out there, it's not even funny.
If the theater is not full I move to another seat just to avoid problems, but if it is full then I tell them nicely the first time to please stop. If it continues I get security or someone to tell them because it isn't fair that I pay to watch a movie and have some one distract me and put their stinky feet up on my chair. What I did the last time was sit all the way up in the last row so that no one sits behind me. But either way there's always an issue with going to the theater, if it's not the feet on the chair, it's people flapping there gums. Did we come to watch a movie or did we come for a talking conference?

I've never had anyone behind me put their feet on the back of my chair... But I can't stand it when I have my feet on a chair and people decide to sit in that chair. Damn people taking my foot rest away... There are plenty of other seats to use! If you were there first, then the person behind should have some respect.

Wow, are you all serious?? You've all experienced someone putting their feet on the chair your sitting at?? I have NEVER had that happen to me... Why would someone put their feet up on a chair that someone is already sitting at??

Sometimes I scoot down real low in my seat, and the guy behind me doesn't realize someone is sitting in front of him. When he puts his legs over the seat with his feet in my lap, I just sit really still so I won't embarrass him. It's really not all that bad.

I'm with you! I always tell people to get their feet off of the chair that I'm sitting in. I came to enjoy the movie, not smell your stanking feet all night long...it's just rude to do something like that.

I don't stand for it, and have been known to actually push people's feet off my chair, to the point where I once almost got into a fight with some punk idiot about it, until he realized that I was twice his size and he wimped out. Too bad, too. I was really hoping to take him outback and beat him about the head and shoulders until he was forced to submit to my superiority in all things.

ummm... well i am one of those people that tell others exactly how it is... on time when i was like 10 i told a girl to shut the heck up in front of her parents for being annoying at a concert. as of right now, i would tell that person to get the f*ck off my chair... im sitting there, and not them

Tell them you paid to hire the chair and that their smelly feet are offending you. Also tell them to grow up,only little kids put their feet on the backs of chairs.Look around and ask where his/her mommy is

First of all, I prefer to sit in the last row. I find it has a better view and more leg room. In your case I would not tolerate such behavior, either put them down, have the manager take care of it, or move. The choice is yours.

I think it's annoying when they do it and you're sitting in the chair, but it's okay to do it as long as the seat in front of you is empty. I have bad knees and sitting for a long time without being able to stretch them is painful

You can try the polite approach and ask them to put their feet down. Or you can change seats. Or you can alert the theater manager and tell them to do it. Personally, I would just tell the person "Put your stinking feet down or I'll kick your butt".
