Is walmart the next generation of slavery? Lots of people work for them. But how inadequatley do they get paid, or even have adequatley benefits? What can be done to change their behaviors towards their employee's? I m not a Walmart employee, but I feel for my co-citizens who do work these jobs.

If this question is so ridiculous than why is there a big law suit right now going on in Federal court against Wal mart?

Wal Mart is freedom for so many people.

In an age when prices have become ridiculous, Wal Mart always has low prices. I can save hundreds of dollars a month by shopping there. When I have to budget to the penny, that gives me freedom.

Wal Mart hires many people who are over the age of 65. These individuals often did not plan well for retirement, and would not be able to live without a second income. Because of their age, many, if not most, companies are unwilling to hire them. A second income besides Social Security is freedom for many of these individuals.

Wal Mart complies with all laws concerning minimum wage, etc. So, if they are paying too little, that really should be taken up with Congress, not Wal Mart. If someone else is paying more, then you are free to go work for them!

Your question is ridiculous, and insulting.

***EDIT***

Why is your question ridiculous? Do you even understand what you are implying? Do you have any clue what slavery IS? The very fact that they have a lawsuit against them shows it is NOT a form of slavery. In slavery, you have no rights, no legal retaliation, you can be raped every day, and that is okay, you are property. You can't leave. That is why your answer is ridiculous.

Why is there a lawsuit? First of all, I challenge you to find ANY corporation the size of Wal Mart that HASN'T been sued by its employees. People sue corporations because they have money. The lawsuit is a result of some employees being asked to work off the clock. While this practice IS illegal, it happens in many workplaces. If it is shown to be corporate policy to ask people to work off the clock, Wal Mart will lose the lawsuit. However, if it is shown that a few store managers took it upon themselves to require their employees to work off the clock to save labor costs, the class-action suit will likely be dismissed. The individual people will probably be able to sue the individual stores at that point. As an employee at Taco Bell I often worked off the clock, and as a manager at Taco Bell I was often tempted to ask others to do so. It is illegal, even if the employee volunteers, but it is often overlooked. What makes the Wal Mart cases bad is that it looked like the managers told them that they would lose their jobs if they did not work off the clock. Those managers have likely already been fired. A major corporation like Wal Mart cannot control every action of every manager in every store. When these managers don't follow the rules in order to get ahead, lawsuits may be filed. However, that does NOT make the corporation evil!

i have not seen the Dibiase boys, yet i love Cody Rhodes' ability. he's already were given the presents to be between the great in-ring competition of his time. He merely desires some more beneficial time to mature and figure out his personality. i imagine if he should be 1/2 as strong on the mic as Dusty is, there should be no longer something preventing him from being a multi-time international champion. i don't love DH Smith. He has way too a lot of somewhat one face. i don't think of he has the nature to make it. I pronounced him promoting in that Cena/Orton vs. raw tournament some weeks in the past, and he had countless the worst pained facial expressions I have ever seen. He oversold it too a lot. Of those I have seen, Cody Rhodes feels like he has limitless ability. i imagine DH Smith will be at maximum proper a midcarder, Teddy Hart will under no circumstances volume to something because of his recommendations-set, and that i will should wait and see the different ability second and third era wrestlers earlier I variety an opinion on them.

How insulting to use the word slavery when referring to a legitimate business that employs people voluntarily. How insulting to people who's ancestors were actually slaves. Pick up a history book & please use spell check next time. What the H*ll is "adequatley"?!

No one is forced to work for Wal Mart. There is a way out of this "slavery". Just say "I quit".
