Is there any difference in power needs, cables, software. I know its cheaper, I want advice from someone who has bought from the US instead of the UK.

The US and UK have different mains voltages so the charger may be different.

The mains plugs will be different.

You will have to pay the VAT at the post office before you can receive a package from the US so add 17.5% onto the US price.

You will not be protected by UK consumer law if you buy from the US, if the unit does not work it could be difficult to get a replacement.

Packages from abroad are labelled with a customs declaration stating what is in the package and it's value. Do you trust the royal mail workforce?

Nothing. They both make you look like you're trying too hard to be cool. Kind of like an Audi TT.

You pay for the US one in dollars ($) - the British one is likely to be in pounds sterling (£)
