Our stunt group just got our extended lib, and we are wondering what to do to keep it stable. We have done it only twice, becuase we stopped after two times...we proably should have kept practicing though...:) anyways, are there some ways to keep it stable, and to keep the flyer form going OVER the "main" bases head?

Make sure the flyer is looking straight forward -- never down! If she drops her chin the stunt will almost certainly fall. The front base can help stability by holding the wrists of the side bases. The back base should have her hands as high up the flyer's legs as possible. Then the flyer can lean back a bit, and not fall forward.

Tell the assist to pull back towards her, and try and keep the foot centered. the Main base might be "hogging" the foot, and pulling it over her head (lock those arms out). Tell her to try and keep it towards the middle. Make sure the back can hold tight onto the ankle (if the top is wiggling at the ankle). The assist can slide her hand in the hamburger position (one hand bottom "bun" foots the hamburger, and the other hand is the top of the "bun") closer to the ankle to also help stabilize it.

have th\ flyer get a soup can and pretend she is in the stunt that will help with the form and balance and have her tighten her butt

keep practicing it...if u have a front spot then dont worry but if u dont then i guess in time it will get more stableâ¥

Ok...sounds weird, but if she is wobbly, she might try squeezing her buttocks together....gives you lots of stability ! Just a thought!
