Doctor Daniel Jackson!
The character is very genuine and believable, despite the rather extraordinary events in his life. He's so incredibly intelligent and intuitive, yet never comes across as a know-it-all. He's grown from a naive, uncoordinated geek to a mature, competent warrior in these past ten years, yet has never lost the things which made him so psychologically appealing in the first place: his passion for exploration, courage in the face of danger, determination to do what is morally correct, and conviction that all beings can choose to do the right thing if only given the opportunity to prove themselves.
When the going gets tough, Daniel picks up a P-90 and performs as well as any soldier. Conversely, he might also put said P-90 down and convince his opponents to talk over things peacefully. His mind is strong enough to defeat even the most powerful of opponents--Replicarter and Adria--yet he can easily fall victim to the humor and quick wits of his fellow teammates: namely Jack and Vala. He's no slouch when it comes to sarcasm, though, and can often give as good as he gets.
Oh yeah, and he's also evolved from cute to drop-dead gorgeous.

Out of the major characters when the show started, it would definitely be O'Neill. He had a natural sense of humor... didn't even seem like he had to try to crack you up. If you are talking about characters that are still major on the show at the moment it would be Carter. She is extremely intelligent but not with the normal ego that goes along with genius... That's my opinion

I think it would have to be Daniel. The character is so intelligent, but does not see himself in a conceited light. I think all of the characters are terrific. It is a well made show. I was sorry to hear that season ten will be their last unless some other TV channel picks up the show.

My Favorite character is Ba’al! He is hot, and scheming, and there is multiples of him! He has more guts than any other gou'ald. That is why he is has survived this long
I think I have always had a thing for the villains in shows and movies. They are really what makes a show sell, I think.

It was O'Neil when the show started and I miss his character a little. He had a really nice sense of humour and I liked the attraction he and Sam had towards each other.
Now it is Valla. She is fun and brings freshness in the show.
