We seem to be just pussy footing around, tied up with both hands behind our back...... Why are we waiting for Iran to finish developing their nuclear program, a few dirty bombs will really mess up the USA..... This cannot be allowed to happen.. But, little do people know, we do not secure our homeland enough.... We only check 6% of all the containers coming to the ports in America. The other thing is these terrorists are very patient.... methodical and must be wiped off the face of the earth before its too late.... What is the administration doing for the US people to protect this land??

I have served my country, by the way its not this one!! But I can tell you GWB is very close friends with Mr Blair.
So, why are we still policing a country which is now tribal, and each tribe wants power after Saddam.
We need to let iraq people fight it and pull out our troops.

How many more have to die? Look what happened in Northern Ireland! All terrorists from Ireland were set free. And the jail was closed to stop the violence.

I don't think terrorism will ever truly be wiped out as there are just too many ways that things can slip through the system. We can only all be aware and make sure that we make the peoples jobs who are trying to keep us safe as easy as possible. Terrorism has made things so much harder for all, with simple things like travel turning into a major issue with all the checking that has to be done. People don't feel safe to send their kids to school anymore. This is a global problem and not just a problem for America. Hopefully the good will prevail but I am doubtful we will ever all feel truly safe.

"Why do they hate us after all?" -> Why did all people hated the Roman empire? Perhaps because all their wealth came from other people's suffering?
I give all americans an advice: Watch and read other countries newspapers. You'll then know what's really going on, besides what the controled news you have tell you.
Do you have any idea that all your media is controled, and that you only get to know what your goverment wants you to know? It's easy to understand why 90% of the people in the world don't like Americans... You are the bullies of the world!

Some of these questions have gone off the deep end, but that's good, it gets the adrenalin flowing.
You all miss the point.
America is the premier capitalist country in the world.
Agree?
Okay, if that's right, then America has the power to eliminate potential terrorist gangs with bent religious beliefs in a very rapid manner, without prolonging the inevitable and wasting good soldiers along the way.
When America decides to do stupid things like sell people duct tape to keep them safe, I lose all respect.
When America strip searches grandmothers and takes their knitting needles away from them, I say shame on America and on us!
Rid the world by organizing all nations in one big coup event to eradicate the problem. When nations refuse to get involved, offer them no help when attacked by terrorists.
Acting feeble minded is not the way.
The current way of doing things keeps me highly suspicious of the leadership, and feeling they cater to those who help the terrorists.
We need new leadership, bright ideas, and quick responses to those who fit the profile of twisted radicals.
Takes leaders with vision and guts, and all I see are whimps who look at their personal wealth before taking any steps to alleviate this relatively new menace.
All average citizens hurt from the presence of would-be terrorists.
They make life unfortable and need to be taken care of immediately.
Staying the course is for fools.
Radical and quick responses need to be adopted, planned out and finalized...immediately.

Now do you want to know how to stop terrorism or do you just want to bash the president? To stop terrorism you gotta kill the terrorists and the people who harbor them in their countries. President Bush is the first president who has tried to do that very thing and for his efforts he's been trashed by every liberal fool in America. It's a long process and we've only been at it since 2001. If you don't think it's getting done fast enough, call your Army recruiter and enlist.

Yes the government needs do a lot more, checking containers, searches at the airports, etc. I also believe that there will never be an end to terrorism. They will always be someone else out there who hates with a passion anyone different from them and their beliefs.

Nothing will put a stop to all terrorism. As long as there are individuals desperate or crazed enough to take hostages or hurt others because they think it will somehow get them what they want, there will be terrorism.

Probably stop teaching evolution, require conversion to Christianity, and allow all white people to shoot minorities on sight. Maybe we should allow the uneducated gun-bearing masses to raise our children on a steady diet of megachurches and self-help books.
