I think we are being lulled into a false sense of security. Low prices in an election year...just setting us up for a huge increase.

I know I know...
It is time for all the good people to vote a Republican in to office again. They own the big oil Co's so it would be best for them to lower the prices so they can brag that the mighty republican party did it for the public of the United States of America. Then the prices will go back up till about November 2008 when they will drop again.
Then there is the other thing they were betting on to happen but they might not get what they wanted. They are hoping a big storm will blow through the Golf of Mexico with damage or not they could say they lost production because of it and will take months to get caught back up. Which means gas will go up 2 dollars a gallon and then they can drop it back down by a dollar which has always made the public happy to pay a dollar more a gallon.. Being they don't seem to remember how much it was before it went up..
It is a game and only a game. Don't try to adjust your TV sets because the republicans are in control of it.

With kids out of school we tend to drive more, this is called summer driving season. Once school starts the demand goes down. If it is a cold winter the demand for heating oil will raise prices.
If supply goes up and demand goes down the prices drop...until one of those change, Expect the price to drop at least three more weeks.

My question...... If you all ready paid the price willingly, Why would it not go back up??? Oil companies are making more then they ever did. lowering the price is kind of like you being asked to sell you're house way below what people are willing to pay. ( would you? ) NO.... But you may list it lower and say or highest bidder.to attract potential Byers.

i am a manager at an independent gas station and i have talked to my distributors and they say that it is going to keep going down. Chevron found an oil reserve that is suppose to in crease our home land reserve by 50%. we just got gas delivered today and it went down 10 cents. the bad thing is that since gas prices are going down some gas stations are not going down as far as they should. we have one not far away and i know that they are making at least 15 cents on the gallon. normally you would only make 3-4 cents. but that particular store always waits on us to go down before they will. even if they don't get a delivery.
