Just don't do it! Is your guy trying to pretend he's with a ten-year-old girl? Or maybe chemotherapy turns him on? Real women who are in good health have hair - and leave it alone!

Use shaving cream or shampoo. Something really soapy. A new razor. Trim the hair before if you have longer hairs. Then shave. Wear a loose gown for a few hours. You can cause sweating if you throw on your clothes soon after. Then shave every 3 to 4 days. Your skin will get use to it after a while.

Try different razors and shaving creams. You might just have sensitive skin.

As for the itching, I think that happens any time you shave there. When it grows back it itches, but that has nothing to do with the bumps. The bumps are a skin irritation.

When you shave there, a lot of times you get a thing called "folliculitis" which is the red itchy bumps. Before and after shaving there, I would use an actibacterial soap to reduce those. Always shave down, not up... go with the grain... not against.

Apply shaving cream and let it sit for a few minutes. It'll soften the hair and help it to stand up. Those Venus razors seem to be the most friendly one. Don't use a disposable one!

Good luck!

Shave with lots of shaving cream and a new razor. When you are done, rinse, pat dry. Use "bikini zone" gel right afterwards. Bikini Zone works really really good! Works for underarms too.

Did everyone miss this. The vagina does not have hair, the outer labia has hair - so unless there is a gorilla thing going on - no need to shave the vagina.

i do the shaving of my wife's vagina. to put it succinctly, i do it very carefully. i wash the area with warm water and soap. then i thoroughly rinse the area with fresh warm water. while the region is still wet, i lather her up with shaving cream. then i start shaving, using small strokes, moving slowly, feeling every shaved area for smoothness. it's a somewhat lengthy process, but when finished her vagina, etc. is glistening for me to pay attention. needless to say, the whole experience is a total turn-on for both of us.
