Big, really slow monsters were proposed by brainy academics and built by military/intelligence in US and Brittan during WW2.

Alan Turing and John von Neumann are famous inventors.

its been around since 1920 or thirtys. The computer would probbaly take up a whole house. the U.S army used the computer to crack codes into the german codes
