When I grew up in England, I went to a private school, but even in private school I got less than an hour a day.
I really believe that most homework is just busy work that does little to encourage learning. If you have worked all day at school, you are really not going to learn much from doing 4-5 hours further work at home.

I would have to say I get at least 5 to 7 hours of homework every night. That is between 4 classes that I am taking.

About the same as you. I swear, they should really consider toning it down a bit. Or they should somehow make more room in the day for study halls. Especially if you have orchestra like me, cuz I only get 2 or three study halls a week. Why has it become so hard to get good grades and get into a good college?
