I went the the University of Iowa and loved it. They have some great programs within the College of Liberal Arts & Sciences. Some of their programs are world-renowned, like the Writer's Workshop. Take a good luck at the U of I; it's affordable (especially for residents) and the quality is very high.

The U of I is a fairly large public university, but there is a good community feeling because the campus is such a crucial part of Iowa City.

Have fun deciding!

Also, if you're looking for financial aid, try registering for online scholarships like: http://www.FreeCollegeScholarships.net
