It's a 10 part answer. I can think of a few, like he started the Islamic problem, and he and Clinton & Albright gave the North Koreans billions to build nuclear weapons with. But I need 8 more. Any help would be great. I need to turn this in by Friday. Does his fear of killer rabbits count ?

No history buffs out there eh? I did my own research anyway. Just thought I could get some undocumented data from others, but no one knew anything. I found out his economic incompetence caused double digit inflation and outrageous interest rates plus he caused gas lines. Also he gave away the Panama Canal. I've found more, but I won't list them. I'm astonished how little you guys know about him. I guess he's not taught much these days. He's definitely our worst president in present time. Wilson may have been a disaster too, but we didn't talk about him. Thanks for trying... no one has given a best answer yet...

I think Carter probably wasn't all that great of a president. But I do feel that he is the best ex-president we have ever had. It's my opinion that Carter wasn't a very good president because he isn't cut throat enough. And sadly you have to have a bit of that in you to be an effective leader.

In many a way Jimmy Carter wasn't our worst president, he formed the Department of Energy and gave it a presidential cabinet position. He also bolstered the Social Security system, and spread human rights across the world, human rights was the main idea behind his forein policy. Not to mention all of his social work after being president, including his project as of right now which travels to forein contry's and makes sure that their election system complies with international standards. So really Jimmy Carter is far from being our worst president, in fact in most history polls (yes they do exist) Jimmy ranks in the top 20.

His big downfall though was he was unable to help the economy, inflation and unemployment were fairly high during his last few years in office.

How can your teacher force you to write that carter is our worst president? That's is an opinion. If you choose him out of all the presidents the U.S. has had, all 43, then you should be opiniated enough to find the answer on your own, if your teacher tod you to write that Carter is the worst U.S. president, than that's an opinion and doesn't belong as a homework assaignment, because then your teacher is forcign his.her views onto you.

You should have picked President Wilson. The teacher would have given you an "A" for REALLY doing your homework.

President Wilson had a stroke and was almost senile when he negoiated the end of WW1 with the German.

Carter was our "worst" President because he was considered an outsider to the members (Democrats) of Congress. Congress would do almost nothing to help him. I guess that being the governor of Georgia and a peanut farmer did not impress our astute members of Congress.

This is truly an asinine question. Is this really from a teacher? Or, are you a stooge for some ideological or political group?
