Excellent question, the entire past election was and is based on fear. Fear changes a persons ability to think clearly and choose freely.

Is delusional hope a better motivation? I do wish for a rational electorate, but we have too great of an ignorance problem in America to reach voting rationality.

No, it's not self-explanatory. I assume you think we Republicans voted for Bush because we believe the lies he tells us about how much in danger we are. One, that is NOT the only reason I voted for him. I mean, c'mon, Gore? Kerry? Second, they are NOT lies. Third, we ARE in danger.

How about proving that people are letting fear decide for them? That would be your first step. The burden of proof is on you. I'll even give you a hint. You need to prove that this "fear" has no rational basis.
