There is no such thing as a name that is or isn't right for an era. If you want to name your baby Chad, then Chad it is.

If there is still some doubt, make his middle name a longer name so when he grows up, he'll have the option of going by his middle name or a shortened version of it. For example, Chad Thomas Smith. He has the option of going by Chad, Thomas, Tom or Tommy.

I think Chad is a good name. Typically you will hear comedians refer to White males with that name as though it's geeky. Famous Chads: Chad Pennington (NY Jets), Chad Johnson (Cincinnati Bengals), Chad Brown (Seattle Seahawks). Good Luck.

One of my best friends is named Chad. he was born in Nebraska. he's really kind, hard working, intelligent and creative. I think it's a fine name, but you always get those badges and coffee mugs that say , "Hello my name is Chad, and I'll be your waiter today" or something like that. I don't know why, it just must be an inside joke I'm not getting! He's always getting called Chaz, or the Chadster, Chadwick or something like that.

chad is cool, but you can call your baby anything you think is good, and if you are having doubts, then choose another name! We called our daughter Kai, which is a scandanavian boy's name!! She was going to be 'Layla' right up till she was born!! she suits the name perfectly though-wait till you are holding your new born baby in your arms, and as soon as you look into his/her eyes, you will know if the name you thought of is right or not.Cangratulations, and I hope it all goes well for you x

Hi, I'm Chad. I play football, date foxy ladies and drink beer. I think women belong in the kitchen and that I should bring home the bread. Also...please meet my gay lover Nigel.

So no, Chad is not a good name.
