Why? Also who do you think lies about their age more. Females? Male? Teens? Children? Adults? Seniors? Please explain!

maybe children because they want to get in. I have been in a couple but i don't really anymore. they lie to get in. but maybe teens also.

I would hope most don't but unfortunately a vast majority do. The younger ones so they can get access to adult sites and older ones looking for young kids to pray on!!
I on the other see no reason to lie, wish I wash a teenager again. I'd do a lot of things different.
BTW I'm 48

sadly, it's not just their age that people are lying about on-line. i think those that are most likely to lie (about anything) would be children and those with not-so-good intentions. (that includes males, females, teens, adults, seniors, and yes, children)

I think it depends. Probably kids and adult predators. Kids like to be older to seem to know more and to sign up for stuff that they are underage for. Adult predators like to make themselves younger, 14 year old kids do not really want to chat with 44 year old guys. Seniors really have no reason to lie, unless they are internet dating and are desperate.

I think about a little more than half the people on the internet lie about various aspects of their life; reason for being online, age, gender....etc. Avatars make hiding your identity online too easy. But just for future reference, I am really a chick!!!
