Before you begin a survey ask them, "Are you w/ the APA (American Psychological Association) or IRB (institutional review boards)? I cannot give out any info to you." Don't answer any questions from any phony survey. you might become an identy thieft victim. Just say, "Are you from APA or IRB?" Hang up.

You don't have to say anything at all........... it's your phone, your time. Just hang up.The only phone solicitors I talk to at all is when they call for clothing donations for charity. "Our truck will be on your street....." Anyone else, I just hang up. Never, NEVER give any personal info to anyone who calls you..... not unless YOU called THEM.

I ask their name and how old they are, then I ask how long have they worked there, and how much it pays, next I ask if they are married or partnered, and if they have kids, usually they hang up on me!! If not, I ask if they can spell cat, and what is their favorite ice cream. It never gets to do you have any communicable diseases.
